Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We deliver safer, cleaner, nature-derived components and ingredients that our customers use to make their products better for people and the planet.

Our solutions are created using renewable feedstocks ranging from large-scale row crops like corn and soy-beans to smaller scale specialty ingredients, such as jojoba and red seaweed. Each year – and in some cases more frequently – these feedstocks are regenerated and can be harvested again.

Through innovation, we continue to improve the sustainability of our solutions and shape our offerings with an eye toward circularity – finding new ways to repurpose and reuse materials for a better environmental outcome. We perform lifecycle assessments and share those details with our customers so they can calculate the resulting impact on their own environmental footprint.

Anova® Rejuvenator

Our bio-based Rejuvenators reverse the impact of aging on pavement. They help you to build and maintain better roads with up to 100% usage of recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) while still meeting performance specifications.

Our proprietary technology goes further than simply softening the aged bitumen in RAP. By rejuvenating the aged bitumen with Cargill Anova®, your mix will deliver performance that equals or exceeds that of your typical asphalt mix, while spending less on mix costs (increased RAP means less virgin bitumen and less virgin aggregate), paving costs and plant costs.

Anova® Warm Mix Additive

With our non-toxic Anova® Warm Mix Additive, crews can reliably achieve density and improve workability at lower temperatures while reducing emissions and odor.

Anova® Warm Mix Additive is bio-based, eliminates the needs for anti-stripping agents, allows you to achieve better compaction and improves the moisture resistance of the asphalt binder when producing asphalt at a lower temperature. Because of the production at a lower temperature, using Anova® Warm Mix Additive reduces your greenhouse gas emissions compared to using Hot Mix Asphalt. This also helps you save money, because using less energy = less costs.

Not unimportantly, because Anova® Warm Mix Additive is non-toxic, it’s also safer to handle for work crews compared to Hot Mix Asphalt or other amine-based warm mix additives.

Anova® Cold Mix Additive

Anova® Cold Mix Additives provide high-performance, polymer-modified formulations for cold patch asphalt mixtures at any level of recycled content. It is a low VOC, bio-based alternative to petroleum-based cold patch solutions.

Our Cold Mix Additives provide economic value for the end-user because of the ability for the end user to incorporate up to 100% recycled asphalt pavement (RAP). And the effective viscosity modification broadens the functional temperature range for cold patch application, allowing for year-round application.

Because of the higher flash point, our Anova® Cold Mix Additive also offers safer handling than other petroleum based cold mix additives.
