Front End Loader

Description:

  • Perform pre-shift inspection of equipment, and report any maintenance needs and/or assist with maintenance requirements
  • Keep cold feed bins filled and flowing
  • Perform stockpile management for moisture control and consistency
  • Understand asphalt plant traffic control, including pedestrian/vehicle segregation

Skills/Experience Needed:

  • Over 3 and up to 12 weeks to become familiar with the operation of the loader
  • Ability to read machine gauges
  • Operate levers and pedals
  • Visually differentiate between aggregate gradations

Physical Requirements:

  • Light physical effort to operate the levers and pedals while equipment under operation
  • Involves lifting or moving average weights
  • Requires the ability to climb onto machine, grasp, push and pull control levers

Paving Crew Member

Description:

Entry-level position/no experience needed

Physical Requirements:

Physical effort required to:

  • Lift
  • Bend at waist
  • Move with shovel

Requires ability to:

  • Walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Engage in repetitive motion of the wrist and hands
  • Perceive sounds and receive detailed information through oral communications
  • Work in adverse weather conditions
  • Lift 50 pounds.

Description:

  • Safely drive truck to destination
  • Perform general maintenance

Skills/Experience Needed:

  • Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements:

Ability to:

  • Bend, kneel, squat, climb, stand, walk, sit, reach
  • Drive for long periods
  • Use fine motor skills and repetitive motion
  • Occasionally lift weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in adverse weather conditions.

Education Required:

High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
