Flagger

Description:

  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment
  • Be physically able, mentally alert, and capable of giving directions to guide motorists and coworkers through the work area
  • Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control
  • Assist with various duties such as shoveling, raking, operation of power tools, and running wheelbarrow

Skills/Experience Needed:

  • ATSSA safety certification

Physical Requirements:

Ability to:

  • Move traffic control equipment,
  • Stand and walk in adverse weather conditions for 8-12 hours

Education Required:

High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)

Lute Person

Description:

Match and finish freshly laid asphalt paving joints; smooth and adjust surface irregularities; spread asphalt to proper grade; follow safety rules; keep equipment in clean orderly condition; prevent damage to material worked

Skills/Experience Needed:

3 months to one year lute experience

Ability to:

  • Exercise judgment to comply with instructions or prescribed routines
  • Use/read fixed gauges, ruler and other adjustable measuring instruments where some interpretation is required
  • Match grades

Leadership skills encouraged.

Physical Requirements:

Physical effort required to:

  • Lift
  • Bend at waist
  • Move with lute

Requires ability to:

  • Walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Engage in repetitive motion of the wrist and hands
  • Perceive sounds and receive detailed information through oral communications
  • Work in adverse weather conditions
  • Lift 50 pounds

Water Truck Driver

Description:

  • Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance needs
  • Follow dispatcher directions of daily tasks and meet expectations for each project
  • Maintain a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Communicate problems with traffic or site conditions promptly
  • Familiar with pumps, fire hydrants, and water meters

Skills/Experience Needed:

  • Valid class B commercial driver’s license
  • 1 -2 yrs. driving experience preferred
  • Must have Tanker endorsement
  • Hazmat experience preferred

Physical Requirements:
