Heat Illness Prevention Plan (HIPP)

Source: 2012 IECC - International Energy Conservation Code

In partnership, a small working group composed of ARTBA and NAPA member representatives developed a guidance template to help companies meet OSHA’s National Emphasis Program on Heat Illness. The guidance has purposefully been kept simple and available in Microsoft Word to encourage road construction companies who employ outdoor workers to develop their own Heat Illness Prevention Plan (HIPP). As warmer weather approaches, it is prudent that each company review and incorporate such plans into their operations.
