David brings discipline, hard work, and a positive attitude to a wide variety of duties, including financial reporting, investments, fundraising, and, his favorite, accounts payable. He works closely with the NAPA Research and Education Foundation (NAPAREF) 501 (c)(3) and is inspired by NAPA members’ support for the NAPAREF Scholarship, NAPA CARE, and Professor Training programs.
David joined the Navy after graduating high school and received an honorable discharge after four years of service. He earned numerous awards while in the Navy, including valedictorian of his “A” school and the Kuwait Liberation medal while serving in the Gulf War. With help from the GI Bill and an accounting scholarship, David paid for college while working full-time. Before NAPA, he was an accounts payable specialist and an investment manager for more than 11 years.
