Developing a Silica Respiratory Protection Program for Asphalt Mix Plants
As part of OSHA’s Silica Rule, employers are required to understand and control potential employee silica exposure at asphalt mix plants. While dust exposure from some plant activities can be controlled through administrative or engineering controls, other exposures must be controlled through respiratory protection.
