These topics range from newly released industry regulations to innovative processes and technology that can benefit your company. The NAPA webinar program will deliver the information you need to the comfort of your home or office.

Professional Development Hours (PDHs)Participation in NAPA webinars may earn you Professional Development Hours (PDHs). PDHs are educational units used to fulfill continuing education requirements for licensure or certification. In most cases, 1 hour of participation in a webinar equals 1 PDH. Some states and certifying bodies require pre-approval of professional development hours and documentation requirements also vary, so be sure to check with your appropriate agency. You are responsible for maintaining the documentation for your PDHs. You can request a certificate of completion after you attend any of the webinars to keep for your records.

Where the Rubber Meets the Road Webinar Series: Recycled Tire Rubber and Modern Asphalt Pavements — Episode 2: Recycled Tire Rubber and Modern Asphalt Pavements
Date: Wednesday, May 29, 2:00–3:30 p.m. EDT
Speakers: TBD There are many ways to modify asphalt binders and mixtures with recycled tire rubber (RTR); however, each method requires contractors to focus on different operations to ensure that a quality mixture is produced and placed. The “dry process” treats RTR similar to how an aggregate or other recycled material is treated by feeding it directly into the drum at a plant. While this process is not as prevalent as some other methods of blending RTR into asphalt mixtures, agencies such as the Georgia Department of Transportation and Illinois Tollway have opened specifications allow use of the dry process economically.

Key Takeaways:

  • Understand the science behind the new dry process for RTR compared to older versions of the product.
  • Hear how using this process impacted a contractor’s operations.
  • See how dry process rubber can impact material properties and performance.

This webinar will:
  • Include a legislative update
  • Outline the messages members of Congress and their staff need to hear from the industry
