2011 Outstanding Brochure

The award goes to outstanding company brochures published to promote the asphalt industry.   

Barrett Paving Materials
Dayton, Ohio

Barrett won the award for a tri-fold brochure entitled, "Preserving Your Investment - Did You Know?" which highlights the importance of investing in pavement preservation. The brochure copy explains how every dollar spent on preventive pavement maintenance saves four to five dollars on rehabilitation costs, and emphasizes the importance of an attractive parking area in making good first impressions on customers and the general public.


Hutchens Construction Company
Cassville, Mo.

Hutchens Construction Company created a two-sided, full-color marketing sheet entitled "Going Green Makes Cents". The copy explains how the use of recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) in asphalt pavement mixes helps save the environment, produces a superior asphalt product, and saves millions of dollars in materials costs. 


The Lane Construction Corporation
Bangor, Maine

Created a tri-fold brochure entitled “Recycled Asphalt Shingles in Hot-Mix Asphalt.” It highlights the environmental friendliness of recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) and explains how the use of RAS can improve asphalt pavement performance and help projects qualify for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) credits.
